A Message from the Chair

If you love hearing voices in harmony, get inspired by shorebirds or a foghorn, like the idea of the sunrise captured in watercolors, or can risk being moved to tears by a sonnet, then the Star Arts Conference is perfect for you.

As in past years, an atmosphere that encourages creative risk taking will energize all participants in the 2010 StarArts Conference. But it will reward you in more ways than you might imagine. That is why so many past participants and workshop leaders want to return year after year, and why we encourage others to join us for our extraordinary week of community and creativity. Whether you are already a professional performer or you’re a little off key, dance on Broadway or stumble a bit through a new step, exhibit at MoMA or whack your finger instead of the carving stone, you’ll be in good company. StarArts is all about exploring your creativity in an exquisitely inspiring, supportive and visually magnificent environment.

If you need reviving after your morning workshop, you can nap your afternoon away in a rocking chair on the porch, or at least until a friendly fiddle player or raucous softball game wakes you up. Or, you can wind down your day with a toast to your muse or new friends at our nightly social hour. However you choose to spend your time and creative juices at the StarArts Conference, you’re apt to learn a thing or two about yourself and your inner rock star or Michelangelo.

So check out our lineup of workshops for the 2010 StarArts Conference, and let your imagination do the rest.
