Visual Arts Workshop with Jeneane Lunn

Painting Landscape in Oils, Acrylics, Soft Pastels or Gouache

This class is a chance to learn or improve your ability to use oils, acrylics, soft pastels, or gouache for plein air landscape painting. Using the techniques of the impressionist painters, we will work to capture the changing light effects of nature. When the weather permits, we will paint plein air. On bad weather days we will paint in the studio either from new photos or to finish paintings started outside. The class will include demonstrations and individual critique. Students of all abilities are welcome.

Jeneane Lunn writes, “After teaching painting and drawing for 30 years in Vermont, I have been living, teaching, and exhibiting in Rhode Island the last three years. I work in oils, pastels, gouache, and acrylic. I am mostly a landscape painter in the impressionist tradition and prefer to paint and teach outdoors. I studied at the Goetz School of Art in Oklahoma City, Art Students League of New York, and with Henry Hensche at The Cape School of Art. My work has won numerous awards, most recently second prize at the Wickford Art Association in Rhode Island. I love teaching and learning from my students.”
